Girl Scout cookie sales are both eagerly anticipated and dreaded each year. We’re doing our best to keep everything organized and
In previous years we have had severe problems with inventory tracking and returns, so we are
implementing stricter policies in order to avoid the disasters we have had the last couple years.
We will receive our cookie shipment on Saturday, February 3 (time TBD). We will be receiving about
6300 boxes on that day, so we will need folks with trailers to help us transport them back to Adrianne’s
house in Roland Valley.
You are welcome to come pick up your cookies at any time during the day on Sunday, February 4. You
may check out 108 boxes (9 cases) in your initial order. Returning Girl Scouts may be able to check out
more based on their previous sales experiences; please check with Adrianne on your pickup day. After the
6th, you may make an appointment with Adrianne to pick up your cookies. You must pick up your initial order by Sunday, February 11 in order to participate in this year’s cookie sale.
Besides all the clever locations you think up, we will have several pre-arranged places for you to go sell.
Our spots at Walmart, Safeway and King Soopers are shared with other troops so we have specific time slots; other places are more flexible as long as we let them know we are coming. We were welcome at Ace Hardware, Moore Lumber, Big R, the Bailey Conoco, and Serenity Salon last year. Please note that all these locations will be outside and it is usually quite chilly in February, so bundle up!
You are welcome to use a Square reader to take credit cards during your cookie sales. Click HERE
to get your free reader, then text Elizabeth to get your special login code. All the cookies are already entered and money is deposited directly into our bank account. This makes it really easy to sell on the go.
You are welcome to pick up more cookies beyond your initial order – please call Adrianne and make arrangements. We are asking that you turn in the money for at least half of the cookies that you have already checked out in order to check out more cookies, or an order form with paying customers requesting cookies.
You are welcome to turn in money to Amy Carman, Elizabeth Moore, or Adrianne Bohne at any point during the cookie sale. In fact, it makes our lives a lot easier if you do! Please note these are the only authorized leaders to give cookie money to – do not turn it into any other leaders. This makes it a lot easier for us to keep track of it all.
You may return cookies to Adrianne through February 25. You will be financially responsible for any
cookies not returned by this date. Please make a realistic assessment of your ability to sell the
remainder of your inventory in the final weeks of the cookie sale. Some exceptions may be made for very
small amounts of cookies (ie, less than a case) but we simply cannot afford to be saddled with the
hundreds of boxes of returns that we have had in previous years.
Please turn in the remainder your money by March 8.We prefer you to make a deposit and write a single
check, but if this is not possible, please separate checks from bills and sort bills by type. Please do not
turn in any loose change; deposit into your own bank account and write a check for that amount instead.
Finally, if you are more interested in cookie credits than prizes (ie, to help pay for Girl Scout camp),
please let us know when you turn in your money. If we do not hear a preference from you, we will assume
that you prefer prizes.
Thank you! We look forward to another exciting year of selling cookies!
